What do you do when life gives you a second chance?
I decided to celebrate it by traveling to ancestral medicine.

Have you ever felt the need to celebrate not just another year of life, but the miracle of being alive itself?

As a Holistic Psychologist and healer who just completed the first phase of cancer treatment, I discovered something profound about the true meaning of birthdays...

This year I don’t just celebrate years. I celebrate LIFE. I celebrate VICTORY. I celebrate REBIRTH.

And I have decided to celebrate it in a way that honors both my survival and my traveler’s soul.

The Moment That Changed My Perspective on Celebration

When my oncologist pronounced those sacred words:
"Alejandra, your body is cancer-free. The tumor and its sentinels are gone," something deeper than physical healing happened in my soul.

It was a message from Beyond: as if they were telling me:
Your mission as a healer is not over. Your traveler’s heart needs to continue gathering ancestral wisdom to share with the world.

During the months of chemotherapy, while my body fought rebellious cells, my spirit traveled to healing temples, Mayan temples, sacred fire ceremonies, and the medicine of cacao in its native land.

Guatemala is calling me. And I am finally ready to answer.

Why Guatemala? The Call of Ancestral Medicine

From my perspective as a holistic healing specialist, this journey is more than post-recovery tourism. It is a pilgrimage of integration where my Western healing meets ancestral wisdom.

My soul cries out for:

  • Sacred fire ceremonies with Mayan elders to give thanks for my healing
  • Rituals of gratitude at the pyramids of Tikal to honor my rebirth
  • The sacred cacao medicine in its place of origin to recalibrate my energy
  • Connection with ancestral textiles that tell stories of female survival
  • Encounters with volcanoes to teach me about transformation and regeneration

"After any health crisis, the soul needs reintegration ceremonies to complete the healing process."

This journey is exactly that ceremony.
