Family Constellations. Today a tribute to all the women who came before me.
Published March 8, 2018

Take a few minutes, take a deep breath... and write from the heart.
Today I want to pay a profound tribute to all the women who came before me.
To those strong, silenced, invisible women....
And yet so brave, so wise, so ours.
To you, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother,
to you, woman of the lineage I may never have known,
but whose blood runs through my veins.
To those who had to disguise themselves as men in order to be free,
to those who hid their talents in order to survive,
to those who suffered in silence, so that today I can speak with a voice of my own.
To those who raised their pens, even in fear,
to those who wove words and knowledge in the midst of pain,
to those who showed their art in the shadows so that today we can show it in the light.
To those who broke the corset of oppression and showed their bodies without shame,
to those who spoke of pleasure, sexuality, desire...
and endured criticism, exile, rejection.
Today I honor them.
Because thanks to them I can choose, I can create, I can love differently.
Thanks to them, you and I can work for our dreams,
speak out, love whomever we want,
and stand with dignity in the place we have conquered.
Today I invite you to write:
✨ What would you thank the women who came before you?
✨ What gifts, talents or strengths do you feel you inherited from them?
✨ Which woman in your lineage do you especially want to honor today?
Take your notebook. Write with your soul.
And if you feel it, share this tribute with another powerful woman like you.
Because when one heals... we all heal. 🌹
With love and memory,
Alejandra León
